Team Aster has announced a significant overhaul of its roster ahead of the highly anticipated ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 qualifiers. This change marks a pivotal moment for the team, signalling a fresh start with a blend of emerging talent and strategic gameplay.

The team bids farewell to four of its key players: Du "Monet" Peng, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, Lin "Xxs" Jing, and Hu "Kaka" Liangzhi. These players, who have been instrumental in shaping the team's success, have left their positions, creating a void filled with both anticipation and uncertainty. Monet has already taken his prowess to Invictus Gaming, while the future endeavours of SumaiL, Xxs, and Kaka remain a topic of intrigue in the esports world.

In a bold move, Team Aster has introduced a mix of new and relatively unknown players to the Dota 2 scene. The new roster includes Yang “Erika” Shaohan, Xu “Echo” Ziliang, Xiao “ss” Yihu, and Pan “Frisk” Yi, also known as “Fade”. These players, though less familiar to the global audience, bring a fresh perspective and new strategies to the team. Erika, a former player for Vici Gaming, is known for his carry role, while Echo and ss are set to make their mark in the tier-one league.

Yu “Siamese.C” Yajun, the position five player, remains the sole member from the previous lineup, providing a sense of continuity and experience amidst the sweeping changes.

Xie "Super" Junhao steps in as the new coach, bringing his vast experience and strategic insights. With his previous stints with Royal Never Give Up and as a successful player himself, Super is expected to play a crucial role in moulding this new roster into a formidable force in the competitive arena.

This roster overhaul signifies a new chapter for Team Aster. Transitioning from a lineup of established names to a group of emerging talents, the team is poised to redefine its identity and strategy in the Dota 2 esports scene. The upcoming ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 qualifiers will be a litmus test for this new roster, as they face off against renowned teams in the region.
